Revolution Mystery Dungeon Rulebook
The Mystery Dungeon zone is special, so it is a little different than the other regions that you can adventure in. Because of this, there are a few extra rules that I feel like need to get touched up on, so they will be discussed here. Please feel free to ask any questions if you have any.
Parts of the Mystery Dungeon Zone, or more specifically Treasure Town, have parts from both the first PMD games and the second.

Treasure Town and Mission Bulletin Rules
Dungeons
Parts of the Mystery Dungeon Zone, or more specifically Treasure Town, have parts from both the first PMD games and the second.
General Rules
- Your PMD adventure is separate from your main adventure. You can be RPing in both at the same time.
- The PMD world is a place where there are no humans. Pokémon talk and have their own towns and everything in this world. "Exploration Guilds" are organized groups of Pokémon that do things such as take down criminals, explore new areas, and rescue lost Pokémon. You RP as one of the Pokémon in a guild. As of right now, the only open guild is the Wigglytuff Guild, though if we greatly grow in size this can change.
- There are three main parts of the PMD zone. The Mission Bulletin, where you go to accept missions, Treasure Town, where you go to buy items, store money, etc. This will be further expanded upon later. The final part are all the dungeons, where you will be updated on your mission or exploration.
- When you begin, please create one or two Pokémon characters in the Sign-up thread. At least one of these two characters must be on your team at all times until you reach the Gold Rank.
- All Pokémon starters begin at Level 5, using their HG/SS moveset until Black and White come out in the US.
- This is the order of ranks: Normal, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. The more missions you complete and more experienced you are, your rank will go up. A higher rank also affects your fame.
- Each Pokémon has one of the abilities listed in Serebii, Bulbapedia, Veekun, etc. You choose that ability upon sign-up and it cannot be changed. You also choose the ability when you recruit a new Pokémon, and once again after that it cannot be changed.
- The more famous and notable your team is, the more likely it is for wild Pokémon to join your team. This will be discussed in the dungeon section.
Treasure Town and Mission Bulletin Rules
- Treasure Town has a few different shops that are open right now: The Kecleon Brothers shop, which is your main place for purchasing items, orbs, and TMs. Persian's Bank, which is where your team's money is stored. Kangaskhan's Storage, which is where you can store excess items. Electivire's Links and Tutoring, where you can pay to have special training that will allow you to "link" together two moves and use them as a combo attack. Be creative here, and try to think of lots of different sorts of combinations. An updator will tell you if your idea is allowed. You can also learn Move Tutor and Egg Moves at Electivire's shop, at the same price. Note, however, that linked moves cannot be used individually once learned, only in linked form.
- When you buy an item or get an item through a mission, it will go directly to the Kangaskhan's Storage. Then simply post at the beginning of your mission which items you are taking out, and at the end of the mission repost the list with what items you still have, and they will be returned to your account in storage by your updator. The only time you ever have to post in Kangaskhan's storage is when you claim your Starter Kit and when you are dropping off an item you received through an event.
- Your money stays in the bank. Updators will automatically add or decrease money to your account that you earn or spend in the PMD zone. You do not take your money out of the bank.
- You are not allowed to be in Treasure Town at all if you are also currently in a dungeon. Please wait for your updator to tell you you are done in a shop before you start a mission. You are, however, allowed to be in the mission bulletin.
- The mission bulletin will be updated with new missions by moderators occasionally. Missions can be a variety of things: catch a criminal, rescue a lost Pokémon, find a lost item, escort a Pokémon, etc. Post in the mission bulletin when you want to accept a mission, and an updator will remove it from the list. Only one mission can be accepted from the bulletin per person at a time.
- Occasionally there will be a "special" mission on the list. These missions may have some sort of special reward, such as a Pokémon joining your team, or a new shop opening. They may also be exploration missions, in which your team must map out a dungeon. Afterwards, other teams can accept missions in that dungeon.
- A mission will be marked as such if food (Apples or Bananas) is required to be brought on. If you do not bring food, your team will suffer from a loss in health and energy.
Dungeons
- While in dungeons, you will encounter aggressive Pokémon that will attack your team on-sight. You must say what attacks items your characters will use, and your updator will update the fight.
- When you go into a dungeon, you can bring a total of 10 items with you. You must list the items you are bringing in when you start the mission, then when you finish your updator will make a small summary of the items you have received and used during the mission.
- If your entire team is defeated, you will be Teleported back to your guild through the psychic power of your badge. However, you will lose some of your items that you brought on the mission.
- If you win a fight against a Pokémon and you have an advantage numberwise, the exp you get for each Poke will be less. If the sides are even, it will be normal. If you have less Pokémon, the Pokémon on your team will get more than usual.
- Equipping an item like a Joy Ribbon takes up one move during battle, but not a whole turn. Equipping an Oran Berry also takes up only one move, but using any item takes up a whole turn. That includes berries, seeds, and Orbs. This is because you do have to equip a berry/item first to use it in Natural Gift or Fling.
- After defeating a Pokémon, you have a small chance of them being humbled enough to join your team. This chance grows the more your rank and fame grows.
- After completing a mission, you can opt to teleport out of the dungeon using your badge or continue through. After this point, you can teleport out at any time you wish.
- Evolving can only be done if you have reached the required level or you are holding the required item you would need to evolve. Next, you need to go to Luminous Springs located in Treasure Town to evolve your Pokémon.
- If your team reaches Diamond Rank, you are allowed to break off from your current guild and form your own! With moderator's permission, of course. Other players can then change their guild to yours or simply start in yours.

Re: Revolution Mystery Dungeon Rulebook
Edited the post with some of the things Gary and I discussed over MSN. The list will be added to over time, don't worry.

Re: Revolution Mystery Dungeon Rulebook
Kangaskhan's Storage rules now have a small addendum. Changed part in bold.
# When you buy an item or get an item through a mission, it will go directly to the Kangaskhan's Storage. Passes, such as those to get a free training at Electivire's Shop, do not need to be deposited.

Re: Revolution Mystery Dungeon Rulebook
Added the previously unwritten but still in effect rule that Pokémon start at Level 5. I know this caused a great deal of confusion; sorry guys!
